  1. It's 9AM in the northeast and Gustav has not made land fall yet.  While it's true there is wind and rain, land fall has yet to come.

Also..it's been downgraded to a H2 so luckily..this is NOT going to be a historic hurricane nor is it the "mother of all storms".

    Good luck to us all!

  3. Good luck to all who stayed but you are not the smartest people in New Orleans. It is a good chance  to steal what's left.

  4. I don't think Gustav will be historic enough to get the name retired, but how deadly and catastrophic should not be a concern.  If a couple is sitting in a trailer anywhere from Nederland to New Orleans, they need to evacuate.  Gustav is still a category 3 and you should not sit tight and argue statistics of you dieing in a storm like that.  Even if it is raining hard, it is not too late because the roads are pretty empty and the storm is moving at only 16 mph.  You can get to safety in Huntsville, TX or Huntsville, AL long before the storm.

  5. good luck. i was wondering how things are down there.  my daughter is here with me. she lives in bay saint louis, ms. she left four days ago to beat the rush of traffic.
