  1. you guys are lucky. its blazing hot here in northern california

  2. it has been crazy here in the Midwest, but here in Iowa we aren't expecting anything for a few more days.  Just watch though, we are getting all of this rain now and in July and august we will be in a drought :(

  3. I know what you mean!!! I don't see any end in sight... until summer's over! My internet was messed up for most of the day because of storms!

Weather is definitely worse this year!

  4. It gets into long patterns of one kind of weather and then settles down.  It is not global warming or climate change but the normal variances associated with weather patterns and sometimes they last for more than the usual amount of time.

  5. People say that we don't have enough info to decide if it is global warming causing this severe weather but I wager something is amiss. If you look at severe weather trends, you will find that many of the most active bad weather years span  from the late 90s to today.

  6. This is periodic cycle of weather patterns. Weather is constantly changing, one year it can be very wet  while the other is very dry. So weather varies from year to year. However, many of the severe weather events are taking place in northern US, suggest this could be a related La Nina event, but there is no proof that says so. June is here and this is usually the approaching end of severe weather season so dry ,warm days should be coming soon for you guys. In California where I live we are currently having a severe drought and running low on water supply, so those rain storms you guys are having there would be useful here.

  7. These are definitely not normal weather patterns.

The midwest should be prone to the occasional summer thunderstorm, but definitely not flooding and tornadoes like it is now! Lots of people will disagree with me when I say it, but these unusual weather patterns are due to global warming. It is starting to change climates and weather patterns, and it's finally beginning to affect us directly.

  8. well i guess when the weather stop raining and the sun is out

    and is very warm

  9. I know.  I live in Madison, Wisconsin, and today was beautiful (80 degrees and clear skies) but now there is a huge dark cloud moving towards us and a severe thunderstorm warning.  When will it end?!?!?!
