Story Time to bounce back in form for the Coral Brighton Belle – 1st Semi-Final
The two most threatening entries for the Coral Brighton Belle – 1st Semi-Final are Story Time and Droopys Danneel. One is striving for a hat-trick through the race today while the other is hoping to fall back into form after having lost in the race that followed a hat-trick. It will be raced over 515 metres flat at Hove on Thursday, 23rd August.
Contesting for the £200 prize money are Parkwest Angel, Droopys Hiss, Droopys Milla and Ayamzabeauty.
The two-year-old has raced seven times during the new season and has won five times out of the starts that she under took. Story Time won the seasonal debut on 17th February, 2012 at Henlow over 460 metres. She was very quick to pick up pace and then was smart enough to not delegate the lead. She settled the race in 27.81 seconds, and won by the margin of 1 ½ lengths.
The blue, brindle and white b***h then monopolised the Bedford Road Puppy on 23rd February, 2012 at Henlow over 460 metres. She once again followed her signature style and had the race under her belt in 27.49 seconds with the lead of 1 ½ lengths from the evening’s favourite runner-up, Be Real.
All the prospects of striking a seasonal hat-trick went down the drain with the fifth position in the very next race. The trainer, B. Turner, then thought the better of it and trained Ballymac Maeve’s daughter thrice, once at Romford and then twice at Henlow.
The training sessions did prove effective as the two-year-old then achieved the hat-trick that she had missed out before, striking a hat-trick right out of the three races that she part in after the drilling sessions.
Story Time won the Grade A1 460 metres flat on 3rd August, 2012 at Henlow over 460 metres. A strong start and a maintained poise got her the race in 27.40 seconds as she edged past the runner-up, Ballyhooly King, by good five lengths.
The tuning up after the hat-trick could not work the wonders as the first one because the B. Turner trained ended third in her most recent outing.
