Sam Stosur equalled her best performance at the Australian Open in 2010 by reaching the fourth round and equalling her achievements of 2006. While it was Serena Williams who stopped the 13th seed in her tracks in 2010, back in 2006 it was Martina Hingis on the comeback trail who defeated Stosur (then ranked world No. 98) in the fourth round.
