Question:

Stove-eye burners?

The things under the actual stove eyes that are bowl-shaped... how do I take them out to clean them? Short of ripping my stove apart, I have no idea how to get them out.

(I know this is probably a stupid question, but I really don't know!)

  1. Grab ahold of the burner (make sure it's cool)  with both hands and pull away from where the burner "plugs in" trying to keep the burner as horizontal as possible.  Then just stick them back in the same way when you're done.

I used to have those shiny silver drip pans under the burners and they were so hard to keep clean.  I replaced them with black pans (these are only a couple of bucks at Wal-Mart).  They don't show messes nearly as bad.  I just run them through the dishwasher when they get dirty.
