  1. get in touch with Stoves it sounds as tho you have a serious fault in the electrics ????

  2. Are you using the fan as defrost, or does it 'bang' when the element is used as a conventional oven too?

  3. I'm gonna be watching this as our's trips when you use either of the front rings?? drives us nutssssss...

  4. make sure that your ground is secure may be loose this happened on my dryer, also make sure that you have the right size circuit breaker

  5. If you are competant enough to connect the oven then i think you should be able to correct this problem.

Firstly switch off at the main fuse board.

Open up the back of the cooker where you connected the main cable to the oven.

Disconnect the earth wire and cover the end so it can't short against the other terminals.

switch back on power at the mains

switch oven on full all elements and allow to heat for about 10 mins

Do the same with the grill after switching off the ovens

Do the same with the hob plates after switching off the grill

You may want to open a window as there could be a little smoke if the unit is new, this will burn off very quickly.

Once all has cooled down, cut off supply at the mains and reconnect the earth wire, switch power back on and retry working the oven which should now be ok!

The problem with new appliances which have been sitting in storage for a while is that the elements pick up a little internal dampness and this causes the RCD to trip on detecting the earth leakage.

If all the above fail to remedy the problem, then you may have to upgrade the main RCD on your consumers unit ( this is the main switch for the whole box ) as the one you have at the moment might be of a low trip rating causing nuisance tripping, this can only be carried out by a qualified spark as the cables to this switch are always live, but try the above trick and it should be cured.
