Question:

Str8 friends in g*y pubs? ?

I have a relay good group of friends, almost all of which are completely str8. Nowadays, whenever we go out, we often end up going in a local g*y pub. Sometimes they look a little uncomfortable, but they're usually able to relax and enjoy themselves even though they're surrounded by an incredibly camp atmosphere and are in danger of being hit on by guys.

I was just wondering how many other LGBT people have str8 friends who go to g*y bars/pubs with them?

  1. I don't go to clubs.

But I got a lot of straight friends who keep forcing me to go with them to g*y club for reasons to get in the club.

They were looking for some L*****n girls to hangout with.

  2. I go to a straight bar often and nobody from there accompanies me to the g*y bar.  They are open minded of me and accepting, but not open minded to the point where they were feel comfortable in a g*y bar.

  3. Happens a lot.

Usually, out of curiosity.  The straights want to know what its like in a g*y bar, expecting it to be some totally different to anything they've ever experienced before.  But when they see it's just like any other bar, they lose interest after a while.

The females tend to like it so that they're not pestered by guys

The guys go there for an ego boost and to see whether the g**s would hit on them.

I guess the bottom line is that it's another step on the ladder to getting g**s integrated properly into mainstream

  4. Two or three of my friends will go to my neighborhood g*y bar with me.

  5. I am a straight person who has joined my g*y friends to clubs/bars/pubs etc.  I think as a female, its a lot less weird, even if you are hit on by women.  I had it happen once, and I just politely said, sorry, I don't swing that way and she was just like, okay, that's cool.  It's no big deal to me, in fact I like going there better sometimes because I prefer the music, I don't get molested by men, and g*y guys actually LIKE to dance!

A male in a g*y club I think would feel a LOT more uncomfortable due to that whole rigidity of straight men not wanting to seem g*y, or being embarrassed by the idea of being mistaken as g*y.  Women for some reason aren't as afraid of that, most likely because lesbians sometimes are seen as s**y by straight men (have yet to figure that one out).  But I think if guys just loosen up and realize it isn't that bad they would have a lot of fun.  And I know some guys who are like that, more power to them!

  6. I have a few straight friends and family members (cousins around my age) that have specifically asked to go to LBGT clubs with me.  It's fun.  They usually loosen up after a few drinks and have a blast.
