The bit I don't get is, the guy plays in midfield. The one area of the park Celtic have cover for. Who will be dropped to give him a place ? Robson ? Brown ? Donati ? Hartley ? McGeady ?

What about defence and the threadbare attack ?

As a Rangers fan, I am not complaining.

Rather strange though ?

  1. think he might go to another spanish club though.but as its a loan deal ,you never know.

  2. I know what your sayin but at the same time competition for places is always good. Donati won't count (useless, need to get him out ASAP). McGeady has to be first choice on the wing. Naka and Mizuno you would imagine would be fighting it out for the other wing, however both are injured so perhaps that is a concern. so that leaves the other 3 for midfield, all 3 have their qualities but in our preseason friendlies the only think that was blatantly missing was a really creative midfielder, who can consistently make chances for the attack. Not so sure what kinda player this Barca lad is so can't comment much on whether he can be effective in linking the midfield and defence but he has been described as the yound xavi so can't be a bad player? or can he?

  3. id rather sign a barcelona fringe player than a derby fringe player (miller) or a hearts reject (velicka) or a championship no hoper for 4.5million (laugherty) add to that you cant afford a fulham fringe player in (davis) or a watford player (shittu) id be worried about the type of player you have signed plus the ones you cant afford if i was you. 4iar here we go!!

  4. well the tims could answer ,Walter & Ally sign a Celtic and Derby County fringe player, the bit I dont get is Boyd,Nacho Novo,Darheville and his Cousin, wholl be dropped to give him his place

As a Celtic fan Im not complaining

    Rather strange though ?

  5. If you mean Crosas he won't be in the starting line up, he played only 8 or 9 games last season for Lyon!!!

  6. The guy is classy and unlike the players mentioned, he plays in the centre and can play the killer pass.

Robson, Naka and McGeady are more wide players, Hartley has been prefered in a holding role while Donati, well, Donati is totally rank.

Scott Brown is more a strong running, ball winner and would compliment Crosas well I would imagine.

I think the guy would be a great signing and is exactly the type of player Rangers are needing at the moment too, whether the boy DOES sign for Celtic is another matter, he is only like the 200th player linked with a move to Parkhead this summer.
