Straight Eight cucumber plant?

I have a straight eight cucumber plant and lots of its flowers don't have any cucumbers then one grew and it had a cucumber as the stem why didnt the other flowers have cucumbers behind the pedals?

  1. The male flowers always bloom first then the female blooms and it produces the cucumber.  They also can bloom at the same time...thats why all of the blossoms don't produce cucumbers.


  2. they are male and female,the female(ones with cucumber on it ) needs to be pollinated,so bees go from one to another for honey, and transfer pollen to the blooms,sometimes you have to help the bees by using a cue tip to get the pollen,and transfer it to the female,hope that helps.
