Straightening Already Straight Hair?

Question

Ive already got pretty straight hair... should I use a hair straightener to make it pin straight? Pics of straightened straight hair is highly appreciated. Also what is a good inexpensive straightener?

I have straight hair for the most part but my hair is very fine so after I blow dry it, its like a lions mane! I use a use a straightener to smooth my hair and frizz down. so its definitely okay. I had a hot tools straightener and chi straightener. The chi is one of the much higher end straighteners. It is fabulous but you definitely don't need to spend that much to get the job done. The hot tools, I think, is middle price range and worked very well. My friends use the lower price range ones like con-air and they say they work just as well. The only noticeable difference between the ones that I have are the chi has out lasted my hot tools straightener by a lot. I suggest a thinner straightener that has a temperature dial (like the chi) you can control the heat to avoid damage and get all the small pieces.

If you look at the top of her head where the hair falls mostly straight the straightener simply just made it a little bit smoother looking.

You can use a straightener. You could also use bain de terre all day straight serum, less than a pin head size is enough for my whole head of hair all day. I really like my remington wet2straight, I don't use it on wet hair usually but it's really great quality for the price. I like it better than all the conair and vidal sasoon ones I've tried. I got it at Walmart.
