Straightening afro hair?

Question

i want to straighten my hair and i already know that i want a ceramic ionic flat iron, BUT...the real question is ..Can i use any ceramic hair straightener, will it work?

I used a hair straightener on my sister's hair once, and it came out really bad.  Maybe I did something wrong.  Have you tried a hair relaxer?

ask your salon artist, they'll point you in the right direction. if you're willing to pay, it's worth it to get a top of the line, salon quality straightener.  a really good company for straighteners is 'CHI'. also, you can buy a few products to help, like straightening shampoos, flatening shampoos, holding gels, etc.  also, for a really good straightener, you should use spray to protect your hair from heat so you don't fry it. good luck!

get your hair relaxed.

& use a hot oil treatment once a week.
