  1. I have hair like yours so I can feel your pain.

-Find a good hair protector spray/gel to put on your hair before you straighten it. It will keep your hair from frying and if you find one that is for straightening hair, it's even better. You can then straighten while your hair is slightly damp and it can straighten easier.

    - Straighten your hair in layers. Usually what I do (because I'm too lazy to spend too much time on it) is clip back the top portion of my hair, straighten the bottom, then take portions from the top at a time and straighten.

    - Then there is the kind of straightener you use. Those really nice professional (expensive) ones are INCREDIBLE. I borrowed one while abroad and it straightened my hair so easily in one pass. I own a not expensive one, and it doesn't work as well but doing the above two things plus a good gel or hair spray keeps it nice.

If you really want great straightened hair and have the money, I definitely would say to look into the professional ones. (ask a beauty store to find the right one). Good luck!

  2. For thick hair, set your straightener up to the maximum heat level that if can go. Then, you have to break your hair up into sections, the smaller the section, the straighter the hair. Also, go over a section of hair 3-4 times. Yes, this may take awhile, but its effective. Also, you might want to get heat protectant for your hair. I use Tresemme. It's cheap, but it works good. Also, you can try to blow dry your hair with a round brush. It straightens, but could get really frizzy. If that happens, then just run over your hair with the straightener to eliminate the frizz.

  3. Seperate your hair into like 2-3 layers with clips. bring the first layer down, straighten that layer making sure your pulling down SLOWLY starting from the roots, then bring the next layer, repeat :)

  4. use shampoo and conditioner for straight hair...and make sure to use a lot of conditioner.

and keep going over a bunch of strands of hair...and then when yer done flip yer hair upside down and straighten it that way thatll add a lil volume and make it more smooth.

  5. Don't iron it too fast. And put serum (Garnier Fructise smooth n' shine: round bottle) on it before ironing. Comb out all the knots too! Straighten the bangs  in fron of your face, then manualluy mold it to part the way you want using your finers. Or maybe u need a better iron CHI is the best brand!

  6. Use Panteen products when you wash your hair, like the straightening shampoo and conditioner. Rinse your hair in really cold water right before you walk out of the shower. Then brush your hair and apply some kind of protective spray to your damp hair. Do this the night before so it can air dry while you sleep. Let it air dry to cause less damage, or just blow dry if you are in a hurry. Then tie up most of your hair besides the bottom section, and straighten it with some kind of ceramic straightener, preferably one that has a good reputation. Just take your time and straighten in sections. For the top layers, straighten longer to keep it nice all day. After you prefect your hair, then you can finish it off with finishing cream or just some hair spray on your hands to run through your hair.

  7. try sectioning your hair with clips and going over that section like 5 times

  8. Having an amazing straightener also helps too. :)  i've got thick, curly, layered hair myself, and i use a Chi straightening iron. It works wonders! it's a bit costly, around $100 or so- but it's totally worth it! they get really hot- which is the key to having your hair straighten properly. As others are saying-  take the hair and section it off to concentrate on that one area for best results. :) Also, a nice hair Serum is wonderful as well.. i personally use Silk Therapy by BioSilk.. you can get that almost anywhere it seems. but most definitely your average salon will sell a straightening serum of some kind. :)  Good Luck!

  9. pull half of your hair up in a pony or clip, and straiten the bottom layers of your hair slowly. Gradually let hair down from the clip or hair tie and repeat straightening slowly. On your very top layer slightly curve your straightener into your head. Also curve into your head when doing your bangs. Hope I helped!

  10. put some serum on your hair first, and brush it so it's loose.

then, take a clip and work on sections; from bottom to top, layer by layer.

  11. Use paul mitchell skinny serum

    that works wonders
