Straightening hair?? (please help! i will pick best answer!)?

Question

what kind of heat protectant spray should i put in my hair that works and smells REALLY good? (and can i use it while my hair is dry?)

cause my hair smells kinda burnt after i straighten it.

ALSO what can i put in my hair atfer words to smell good and to keep it shiny, smooth and straight?

hey- if you hair is smelling burnt after you fix it with a flat iron..you need to make 100% sure your hair is BONE dry. blowdry in the direction your hair grows..unless you are looking for more body It can be very damaging to hair. Sometimes even if if fees dry..i blow dry for a little bit longer..this might sound weird but wait a second and let your hair 'cool down' from the blowdryer then feel it- if there is a cold spot..dry it some more.. once you know your hair is dry you should smooth things out and do what you do with your iron. if you want a protecter from the heat i would say your number one choice is Aveda's 'brilliant' its a spray..you put in your hair while its wet/damp.It also protects against the sun's harmful rays, then smell is like all of the other Aveda products..kindof spa/relaxingish. if you are looking for something a little cheaper id say your next best bet is tresame's heat defender.. (i use either of these)it smell FANTASTIC<and the bottle looks funky! But i really think making sure your hair is perfectly dry will cure the burnt smell you are getting..make sure your irons not worn out..if it is i'd say its worth the money to get a new iron, its better for your hair as well. for before straightening my hair for protection, i use tresemme thermal creations heat tamer spray.its usually sold at target or rite-aid

for afterwards to make it smell good i use either body spray or tresemme ultra light shine spray.its sold at supermarkets

After straightening my hair I use Fekkai's Smoothing Cream and oh my gosh it works miracles. It smells awesome and keeps those flyaways out and keeps it frizz free, even in humidity.

My sister and I use Fructus Garnier's Sleek and Shine. It adds shine, without wearing hair down. A little goes a long way and it smells AMAZING!!

I am not sure about the whole spray to use, but if your hair smells burnt after you flat iron it, you should set your iron to a lower heat.

the hair spray bead head it smells fruity it can be found at cvs duanereade  and u can use it when ur hair is dry
