  1. Sit up straight. :)

  2. This upper back strengthening exercise program could help you: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/upper...

It strengthens the muscle there so it gives good support to your trunk and improves your posture hugely.

Also, make your upper back flexible by doing these upper back stretches: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/upper...

The exercises help to increase flexibility of your upper back and release tension in the muscle there, so you won't have tightness in your upper area that could stiffen your back.

  3. If your back is already hunched, see a doctor.  You may have a treatable medical problem.

If you are worried about getting a hunch back when you are older, then you need to know that older women with hunch backs have osteoporosis, a lack of calcium in their bones.  To prevent this, you need to build very strong bones in your teens and twenties.

To build strong bones, first you need to eat 3-4 servings of dairy products (three to four 8oz glasses of milk) every day or take 1500mg of elemental calcium as a supplement.  Second, you need to do weight bearing exercise like walking, running, cycling, dancing aerobics at least 3 times a week.

And don't smoke; smoking greatly increases your risk of osteoporosis
