Straightner voltage?

I alredy asked about how it works but now I want to know the voltage. I have the chi straightner and The Thing sais its 120v but I think canada only has 110v. Im not sure i need help and i only want to know about canada because i could get confused if you give me answers about american volts. Im not sure. But i want to know if its okay or how much volts are there in canada and if anyone has used the chi before in canada how much volts was it and how much volts did you have. Thanks

  1. if its rated to run on 120V, 110 shouldn't be a problem. Most appliance run on 110-120V for US and Canada. a volt is a volt wherever. To the best of my knowledge its safe to use.


  2. Some call it 110v, others call it 120v.  Some call it 115v, or even 117v.  It can even run as low as 100v or up to 125v.  It's all the same, since the power grid routinely fluctuates between 100v-130v.

    Some countries use 220v.  Others call it 240v, or 225v, or even 250v.  Some may even refer to it as 200v.  Again, it's all the same thing, except that it's up in the 200v ranger rather than the 100v range.

    Canada and the U.S. both use the same voltage standard and, in fact, even use the same plugs; it's just the way individuals refer to the voltage that makes it sound a little different.  But it's still the same.
