The head coach of the Nerazzurri outfit has gone on to state that he is trying to grasp the opportunity handed over to him by Massimo Moratti by both hands.
Andrea Stramaccioni was busy trying to make his way to the top of the coaching ladder at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/U-17-Youth-team-c40787, and their results were going in direct
conflict to the ones of the senior team. Whereas, the Primavera squad went on to lift the Nex Gen Series; the Nerazzurri senior team were on the worst run of their history, after the team was able to secure a solitary victory in ten match weeks.
This left the club reeling around mid-table, and it seemed like the 2011-12 season would be one of the darkest periods of the Nerazzurri history. However, after the inability of Claudio Ranieri to tow the club back on to a path of securing victories, the
club and the coach parted ways after mutual consent.
With a tricky timing to hire new managers, Massimo Moratti studied the work being done under Andrea Stramaccioni at the youth level, and he went on to promote the Italian as the senior team head coach. Strama’s impact was instant as the manager bought a
stability and belief in the team to perform well in the matches.
He also helped guide the team to the Europa League from the doldrums of the Serie A mid-table, and has been guiding the team to a consistent level of play as well. Stramaccioni was talking to Radio Anch’io Lo Sport, and during his conversation with the radio
station, he went on to comment on the different strategy they have employed so far, and shed light on the 3-5-2 formation.
The coach also remarked by lauding his team and their defence, and commented:
“I think we've found the best system to cover the pitch by playing three at the back. We can mix things up further forward, but I think it’s the defence which gives this team more balance.”
Inter Milan are currently in the third position of the Serie A.
