The legendary tactician believes that the former Nerazzurri youth coach has the talent to do well at the senior team.
The former Real Madrid director of football has backed the decision of appointing Andrea Stramaccioni as the new head coach of Inter Milan.
Stramaccioni was formerly the manager of the Nerazzurri http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AFC-Ajax-c38228 on the same day the senior team lost 2-0 to Juventus.
This caused the club management to sack the manager, who had but struggled despite a number of promises, and promoted the manager that brought the lone silverware for Inter this season.
Stramaccioni may have been a relatively new name in the Italian football, but Sacchi revealed that he had recognized the talent of the manager a long time ago and had been following him for a long time.
Sacchi told that he had even offered the former AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vigilance-c40891 and industriousness
while managing the young talent, which others tend to neglect.
While talking to Sky Sport Italia, the Real Madrid chief said:
“The Italian Football Federation and myself wanted him to take charge of the Italian Under-17 side last summer. He’s an interesting guy, a very prepared tactician despite being in a country that isn’t really prepared to invest in youngsters.”
The former Parma manager insisted that it will be blasphemous to expect the new manager to turn around the crisis stricken team with a swish of a magic stick. The veteran urged the Nerazzurri management to give the coach some time along with a good environment
to work out the problems the club is facing.
“I think he’ll have a chance to prove himself at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567. He’s no wizard though and in order to do well he’ll need an environment where he will be able to work in peace.”
Stramaccioni, 36, is the third manager for the club this season after Claudio Ranieri replaced Gian Piero Gasperini earlier in September.
