The Nerazzurri manager rues the second-half performance of his team after a splendid first-half; looking forward to the Milan derby and coy over Champions League hopes
Inter Milan manager, Andrea Stramaccioni, is ruing the loss in concentration which led to the two goals conceded moments after the second half.
The Nerazzurri suffered their first defeat under Stramaccioni in the round 36 encounter at Stadio Ennio Tardini on Wednesday, May 2nd. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799 gave Inter the lead in the 13th minute, but three second-half
strikes from the Gialloblu dented their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League.
The Beneamata now sit three points behind third-placed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003, and Stramaccioni is shattered with the defeat.
The young tactician is ruing the mistakes his team made throughout the game, and insists that the three minutes cost them the result. The 36-year-old hailed his team’s efforts in the first-half, but he is not so impressed with
the displays of the second-half.
He also went onto praise Parma for a wonderful effort during the game, and believes that his team will have to recharge their batteries once again.
Stramaccioni will be facing the biggest test of his short managerial career so far, as his team will take on AC Milan in their next game.
While talking to the reporters, Stramaccioni enthused:
“More than mistakes by individuals, I would talk about three fatal minutes that cost us dearly. However, three minutes will not ruin what we are doing. We were unlucky and there is a lot of hunger to make up for it because we had
a good first half and the whole team made mistakes after the break, not just individuals.”
“Parma deserve praise. From Sunday we want to get back to winning ways in the derby. As for the Champions League, we must win all our remaining matches and then see where we are. We made life difficult for ourselves and now want
to make up for it.”
The Milan derby will be played at San Siro on Sunday, May 6th. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775, in a hope to qualify for Europe after winning the two remianing matches.
