Question:

Stranded vs Solid RJ45 ends

I have been looking thru this group and several others trying to pin down some nasty problems on our network. To make a long story short, I have inherited the network in its current condition.  It has been my experience that placing Solid Cat5e RJ45 ends on Stranded Cat5e cable is a no-no and should be avoided. Has this been others experience as well?  If I place Solid Cat5e Rj45 ends on Stranded Cat5e cable and vise versa) what type of errors might I see? Will most modular RJ45 "crimpible" ends purchased today function effectivly on both Stranded and Solid Cat5e? Thanks Brad
