Has anyone ever seen a 12 digit number come up on their caller id? I did and have no idea how to call it back. It was a telemarketer and I want to contact them to have my number taken off their list! What do I do? I have already registered with the national do not call list months ago!

  1. sounds like an overseas number..

  2. It may be a scam call from overseas to run up your bill.

The phone Country Code for 442 does not exist on this 1st site. Most likely a scam See:

But AT&T list it as in the Pakistan, still may be a scam see:

  3. its a uk number with the international code in-front. drop the 44 and insert a 0. they are both inner london numbers (0207)

  4. Scam and advertising and collection agencies companies can put out whatever they want on their caller ID. No amount of looking up the phone number will help.

  5. A lot of times, those places use VOIP services and if the terminating carrier (your phone company) id service is incompatable, you will get a strange number. For instance, in the US when someone on a Skype Phone calls a land line is says something like 00000000001234

  6. ('=-.,_,.-+-.,DON'T WORRY,.-+-.,_,.-=')

I've gotten the same calls on my cell before. I called the phone company and asked them. A 12 digit number that starts with 44 is from the United Kingdom. The 207 means it's from inner city London. It's probably a wrong number or some kind of telemarketer or scam artist.
