Strange Random Advertisements on PC.

Question

My PC seems to be picking up some sort of radio waves, and is playing advertisements and other stuff randomly. On several occasions I've gotten a boost mobile ad, the Pineapple Express commercial, and other random sounds clips. It just plays randomly, no browser open, most frequently when playing a game. Is it a virus or something?

I would run spyware removal programs and malware removal programs just to be safe. Also I would clear all of my temp internet files and cookies.

A great free anti virus program is avast

give that a go if you think it may be a virus.

but I would think it to be adware. try using ad-aware se which is also free to try and get rid of it

stop downloading P2P software and your computer will be OK--now please get Malewarebytes Anti-Maleware to clean up the virus on your computer.

its spyware i would recomend a program called spyware terminator. Its free and will do the job to get rid of the ads
