Strange Sensation on head?

I dont know how to describe it, but on the left side of my head i get this strange sensation. its not like a tingle, its different than that. it comes in waves and isnt constant, but its annoying when i get it. massaging it sometimes makes it feel better, most of the time, but does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

You could be dealing with something like a migraine headache (an example only).  When they occur they can sometimes cause some strange sensations like waves.

Another type of headache that some people can get is one that relates to when the barometer goes up or down (an example only but I get these kind of headaches).

The only way to know for sure is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they say.
