I had a polythene bag full of sugar(5 Kg) in my kitchen..
I just cut it down side wise in order to pour it into a seal tight jar.
(there was a small opening in the polythene, and some sugar (about 1 Kg) was left there in it, after pouring).
after one day, I found that bag full of ants. I just cut the bag wide open, to check what the condition of the sugar is.
to my surprise, within some minutes, all the bag was free of ants!!
every time I open the mouth of any bag wide, (if it is having any ants in it) the ants rush out of it.. whether it is sugar.. or flour.. or anything else..
but also, they keep on feeding openly on the floor, or on the slab, if there is anything edible for them.
then why do they show such behavior in a bag??
