Strange animal dropping in my yard!

I know this question is a bit odd, but I made a discovery in my front yard this morning that is bothering me. I found very strange looking animal p**p about a foot away from my flowerbed. I originally thought it may be a deer, but it's not pellet-like. The composition is more like that of human fecies, but it is about five inches long, and 3-4 inches wide. It is flat and black. I live in Northeast Ohio. Any ideas on what kind of critter could be lurking in my yard? Judging by the massive size of this thing, the animal has to be large.

Maybe a bear?
