Question:

Strange palpitation in centre of chest? professional medical opinion?

For about 30 minutes I was experiencing the most bizarre sensation. It felt as if there was a heart beat in the centre of my chest, just below the central join of the ribcage.

The palitations/contractions (not entirely sure what they were) were clearly visible, even from a distance and were sporadic in frequency. Sometimes two simultaneously, maye one slow one etc etc.

I have already encountered two doctors, one (my neighbour) who actually felt and saw the palitations and was completely baffled, so he recommended going into hospital (by which point it had stopped), and the doctor at the hospital was also completely baffled. There were absolutely no additional symptoms and I feel great now.

This happened about two hours ago by the way.

Professional medical opinions please

  1. If youve seen a doctor and been to the hospital there isnt much anyone on here can do. Go and see a GP and get it noted down in case for the future?
