Question:

Strange periods, pinpointing OV, and TTC # 2? ?

Okay, so I've been around here before, lol, but I keep getting AF and BFNs. I have 8 months to go before I worry, but I'm trying to pinpoint OV, I don't have a BBT, and I can't check my CM for sure because we're BDing everyother day, so I can't be sure if it's mucus or sperm leftovers, lol. Although I have a regularly timed period(it did come a day early this time), it's been getting stranger the longer I'm off my birth control. I now get it heavy for 3 days, then it stops completely at night, and starts up the next morning, and is lasting between 3-7 days. I used to have just regular cramping the day before, heavy for one day, light for 3 and then I was done, even before I had my daughter or was on birth control. Anyone have experiences like this, or any helpful ideas about checking for EWCM while BDing every other day? Could I be ovulating while I'm getting AF, because that's the only time we're not BDing every other day, and it's getting frustrating? I'm just coming off AF so now's the time to start checking, lol. Thanks!

Lots of BabyDust to everyone TTC!

  1. I know how frustrating it can be, I've been TTC#1 for 20 months!  Every woman has different hormone surges in her life so the change in your periods are normal.  Taking your BBT (which just requires a regular digital thermometer that has a decimal point - ie 98.1 degrees) each morning would definitely help you pinpoint O.  Some women also have luck with OPKs but they aren't as predictable for some.  I find CM difficult to track but some find it very useful for telling when O is.  It is really unlikely that you are Oing during AF.  Good luck and baby dust to you!!!
