Strange question, probably for a doctor or someone with similar issue...?

I got strep a lot as a child and the doctor stopped putting me on antibiotics and began giving me shots in my thighs (because the antbi. did not work)...I don't know what the shot were, but I know I had them a couple times. Anyway, I was about 8 or 9 when that happened. Every since the next growth spurt I had, the front of my thighs have had 'dents' in them. I did go to my dermatologist who said that it would appear that those shots had dissolved tissue under my skin, leaving me with indents. I have always been self conscious about them, until I realized the connection. They are about 3/4 inch long and wide and you can feel the tissue discrepency (my massage therapist thought one was a knot in my leg!) Anyway, any clues about what could have been in those shots...my doctor has since retired several years ago.

I had strep quite a bit as a child too. When they stopped giving me oral antibiotics they gave me antibiotic shots, in the arms, then penicillin in the buttox. I don't have the issue you are discribing, kind of curious why it has happened to you.

I did, for a year, have to give myself injections in my thighs for cancer treatment, and those injections didn't cause dents or bumps.
