Strange question: what sealant could I use on candy?

I'm working on this for a friend; she created a jewellery piece by gluing conversation hearts together. Unfortunately, due to their high absorbency, as soon as you put them near anything liquid, the either melt or go mouldy. I need something to seal them, perhaps a fabric spray or something designed for working with porous materials. Hairspray, maybe? Any ideas would be appreciated.

  1. Clear Acrylic spray....a few light coats should work well ;)))

  2. Go to a Craft Store and ask them the best spray for it.  I would say a fabric spray but you would be better asking someone that knows these things first hand.

  3. I agree with the first answer, the clear acrylic spray is best, you could also look into sealing them in resin but that would take a bit more work.
