Question:

Strange reaction to carrots on an empty stomach?

Obviously, I'm not asking what to do about it (the solution is just to not eat them on an empty stomach), but I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience or knows what causes it? If I have carrot juice or raw carrots on an empty stomach, I soon experience a reaction that is a combination of mild-to-medium strength nausea, something like a rush of adrenaline that can accelerate intermittently accelerate my heart rate, and slight wheezing. It all goes right away if I eat something else, and there are no lasting effects - does anyone know what this is all about? Thanks!

  1. change the source of carrots ,

  2. Raw carrots have no real nutritional value other than as fiber.  Only by cooking them first do carrots become digestible by humans...

    Your "reaction" is probably gas...
