well... if you in a close room. with a full silence. no cars. no birds. you can hear strange sound wave.. like "vuuuuu"

  1. It's definetly just your room...Btw check your wiring.


  2. First off, remember that if there's a TV on somewhere in your house, even if it's muted, it will emit a really high pitched sound.

    If you're talking a bout a really high pitched hum you hear in absolute silence, then that's actually you're own body you're hearing.

    Just like you can feel the thunk of a heartbeat if you try really hard, you can also hear the really high pitched sound of your own central nervous system.

    There's also a group of people that suffer from an auditory illness called tinnitus. People with this illness can be overcome by this high pitched ringing sound and can have trouble concentrating on their daily life. Prolonged headphone use has been linked to tinnitus in some studies so be careful if you're always blasting music through headphones for hours:)

  3. It could be your heating system, because it turns on and off. So when it starts again it usually make a strange noise.
