What is the best, strangest fried food you have ever tried...Where was it?

I once had deep fried pickles in Nashville.  It was the first time I'd ever had them.  Ever since then, I'm always on the hunt for resturaunts that serve them.  I haven't found any as good as those in Nashville though.  I've even tried making them at home but still haven't quite managed to make them as good as the first one that I had.

Deep fried candy bars, twinkies, oreos and even ice cream... the best was the candy bar and the strangest was oreos

Deep fried brownie. Whoa! Crunchy, Squishy, Chewy OMG loaded with fat and calories.... but WHO freakin cares! It was awesome, but very strange!

Deep Fried Breaded Spam-  Wow.  That doesn't even sound good.  But to all his own I suppose...

The strangest is probably fried squash.  The best was fried pickles... would fried green tomatoes count though?  My dad love frying anything and everything!

I heard of deep fried pickles (at the local fair) and I had a bite- yuck. It's just something about the sourness of the vinegar with the frying oil. It's sick. I like fried snickers bars. It takes a bit to get used to and they have to be eaten in moderation.

My grandmother grew up in a very rural part of Southeast Kentucky, which is in the Appalachain Mountains.  Of course they were poor and they exhausted every bit of any animal they ate.  To this day she still enjoys hog brains fried and usually mixes them in her scrambled eggs.  She also boils the intestines and mixes them with a variety of foods.

Fried ants.  A girl from South America worked for me and her mom sent up some fried ants (they put a plastic bag over a tree stump full of ants and collect them when the ants come up.) and they weren't to bad.  I also had some in a chocolate candy and they went down easier.
