Strategies to getting rare cards in yugioh boosters?

i mean without using a scale or bending the pack, because most people cant do that before buying. so im looking for a bonafide way to score rare cards.

Scaling is probably the best way. Weighting the packs with an electronic scale, the heavier it is the better chance it has rarer cards. Holo cards tend to be heavier than other cards because of the material use to make them shinny. Although some stores do frown upon this.

what i read is that if the pack has somthing rong with the color of it then it will probably have a rare card. also the thicker the pack the better the cards.
