Strawberry smoothieeeee or another recipe?

I have my formal in a few weeks and was looking for a good tasting treat which will not make me feel bloated but still give me energy that i can make and eat the morning of my formal.

I am DEFINATELY not going to deprive myself of food just so that i look good in my dress. i heard almonds were a good snack that fills you up and gives you energy but doesnt bloat? and im looking for a recipe for a strawberry smoothie, one that will taste good, is easy to make, gives me energy, but wont make me feel bloated. Is this possible? haha, or does anyone else have any other ideas and recipes?

  1. Actually milkshakes can make you bloat, the  best foods would be light ones like yogurts or mousse- trust me :) x

    STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE  

    2 c. vanilla ice cream

    1 1/2 c. fresh strawberries

    2 tbsp. sugar

    2 tbsp. lemon juice

    2 c. crushed ice

    Additional fresh strawberries

    Combine ice cream, 1 1/2 cups strawberries, sugar, lemon juice and ice in container of an electric blender. Process until smooth. Pour into individual glasses and garnish with additional strawberries. Yield: 4 cups.

  3. Thick Straberry Smoothie Recipe

    Ingredients:

    6 large strawberries

    1/2 cup of your favorite yogurt

    1/2 cup of vanilla or strawberry ice cream

    1/2 cup of whole milk

    Directions:

    First Blend strawberries and milk together until straberries are well blended, than add ice cream and yogurt and whip for just a little bit so smoothie remians thick.

    Slushy Straberry Smoothie Recipe

    Ingredients:

    4 large strawberries

    1 tsp of sugar

    1/2 cup of whole milk

    1 cup of ice cubes

    Directions:

    Blend strawberries with milk on low speed till well smooth, than add ice cubes and blend on high. Add sugar and blend on high speed for about 1 minute. The texture should be slushy and smooth.

    Non Dairy/No Sugar Strawberry Smoothie Recipe

    This recipe is for those people who would prefer no dairy products and no sugar.

    Ingredients:

    6 large strawberries

    1 cup Welch's Strawberry Breeze

    1/2 cup ice cubes

    Directions:

    Blend juice and with strawberries and add ice cubes until slushy consistency is formed. Soy milk may be used to replace juice for a thicker Straberry Smoothie Recipe.

    Fresh Sun Sweetened Strawberries

    Strawberry smoothies are the most popular fruit smoothie recipes. They are simple to make and are very abundant most seasons.

    Ingredients:

    6 large strawberries

    1/2 cup of your favorite yogurt

    1 cup of whole milk

    Directions:

    Just blend all three ingredients and you have a fresh fruit smoothie. Additional fruits maybe added like bananas.

    1 large ripe banana, peeled and sliced

    1 cup washed strawberries, stems and hulls removed

    1/2 cup raspberries or peeled and sliced kiwis (about 2 kiwis)

    1 cup plain yogurt

    1/4 cup orange juice

    2 tablespoons honey

    Place all of the ingredients in the blender and process on high speed until smooth, about 30 to 45 seconds.

    Pour into glasses and serve.

    Feel free to substitute or add other fruits, such as blueberries, mangoes, or peaches. And feel free to substitute pineapple juice for the orange juice—it'll work just as well!


  5. Yeah almonds are good but be careful as if you eay alot they mill make you sick.

    Now if ur in a hurry and need something that fills you up (not bloat) just put apple and banana in a blender, then add some milk blend again and serve. important always chilled.

    Now if you have some time to make a smoothie here are some recipes :)

    Peach smoothie:

    Ingredients:

    2 cups peaches (its up to you if you used sweetened or not, I do)

    1 cup 2% milk

    2 scoops of vanilla ice cream or 2 cups of vanilla yogurt

    pinch of nutmeg

    1 cup of orange juice

    1/4 teaspoon almond extract

    The almond adds a nice flavor, but try it without if you don’t have any, you’ll still find it delicious. Adding the ice cream really sweetens it up, so yogurt can take some sugar out.

    Blend and enjoy

    Breakfast smoothie recipe:

    Breakfast Smoothie

    1/2 cup orange juice

    1 banana

    6-7 frozen strawberries

    4-5 slices frozen peaches

    5-6 frozen blueberries

    6-7 ice cubes

    fresh mint (optional)

    dash of nutmeg (optional)

    1 tsp. honey (optional)

    Place all ingredients except ice cubes in blender. Puree until smooth. Add ice, and puree again. Pour into a glass and sprinkle nutmeg on top

    and garnish the some fresh mint.

    Strawberry smoothie:

    16 oz. strawberries

    2 very ripe bananas (browning peel)

    1 cup sugar

    1 Ziploc freezer bag

    2 cups ice

    1 cup water

    Rinse strawberries in cold water and remove stems.

    Place strawberries in freezer bag with sugar.

    Peel bananas and put in bag. Shake bag. Put bag in freezer for at least 2 hours.

    Pour frozen fruit into blender. Add ice and water. Blend well
