If I were to take up street dancing, without any formal lessons at the age of 16, is it possible to learn it? And about how long would it take to be at least decent?

  1. to learn street dancing you need to go out into the streets find people that know how and watch and learn and as long as you practice you will get good at it in no time

  2. i'm just learning to breakdance and im 16 so yes.

    ^_^

we may never reach the "professional" level but we can get by and get some "wow"s from the crowd.

    lol

edit: u can always learn from ppl that alrdy know the dance OR u can watch youtube tutorial vids and practice b y urself (which is wat im doing)

*having a camera or video camera to record ur dance moves helps as it allows u to c how u look like when u do the moves thus allowing u to improve how they look.

  3. starting at 16 is fine...i did, what it matters is how much effort you put into it. once a week wont cut it. if you wanna get good, pro, w/e it'll take a lot of time and hard work. look up videos on youtube, the basics learn from those with friends. than you and your friends can help each other out see what needs work and what needs to be cleaner. after that put your own style and taste to it. so goodluck
