Street Fight on Monday Night RAW and the case of the New General Manager – Part 1
The Monday Night RAW started with an explosive scene as the entire Nexus group appeared in the ring. The Nexus has become extremely notorious in the professional wrestling world as it has attacked many important wrestlers and WWE officials in the past few weeks. The Nexus group, which consists of former NXT rookies, also attacked the former WWE champion, John Cena, former General Manager of Monday Night RAW, Bret “The Hit Man” Hart and the chairman of WWE Mr. Vince McMahon. Nexus also interfered in the Fatal Four Way Match for the WWE championship and indirectly helped Sheamus win the prestigious title.
Last Monday, Nexus appeared in the ring and told the audience that they wanted to make peace with the RAW roster. The former WWE champion, John Cena appeared on the ring side to give a reply to Nexus. John Cena has his own interesting history with Nexus. The Nexus nearly ended the career of John Cena after they gave him a beating of a lifetime. John Cena vowed that he will take revenge from the group and make its every member suffer with extreme pain and punishment.
To the surprise of many in the professional wrestling world, 6 other wrestlers joined John Cena in his crusade against the Nexus. John Cena was joined by the apex predator of WWE, “Randy Orton”, Evan Bourne, John Morrison, R – Truth, Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith. Many wrestling fans were yelling at the NXT group as it seemed that the days of Nexus are over. This was the first time in the past few weeks that Nexus would engage in a fair fight with other wrestlers of WWE. The rivalry was heating up in the arena, as the 7 wrestlers approached the ring to give Nexus a beating they would always remember.
But then everything changed as the current WWE champion, Sheamus appeared from behind. Sheamus was accompanied by the Rated-R wrestling superstar, “Edge”, Chris Jericho, The Miz, Ted DiBiase, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso. To the surprise of many fans, these wrestlers attacked John Cena and his friends from behind.
It was chaos all over the ring as Nexus escaped in a few moments and saved their lives. Now the groups of John Cena and Sheamus were fighting with each other. It was practically a street brawl, as there were punches blowing everywhere. John Cena was angry in his response as he delivered hardcore punches to the jaw of Sheamus. After the dust settled, John Cena and his friends stood proudly in the ring as Sheamus and other wrestlers ran for their lives.
John Cena felt betrayed by his fellow wrestlers as it was a golden opportunity to teach Nexus a lesson. Sheamus took the microphone and told John Cena that he will never join him in his war against the Nexus. It was obvious that Sheamus took the side of the Nexus as they indirectly helped him in winning the WWE championship title at the Fatal Four Way Pay per View.
That was the time when the anonymous new General Manager of RAW announced that the situation of Nexus is threatening to destroy the complete infrastructure of WWE, and steps will be taken to calm the situation down. He requested John Cena and the leader of NXT, Wade Barrett, to make peace in the ring in front of millions of wrestling fans.
The new General Manager of RAW has further complicated the story. This General Manager took the charge of RAW after the former General Manager, Bret “The Hit Man” Hart, was beaten and roughed up by the Nexus group. Due to security concerns, the new General Manager decided to stay anonymous and started communicating with the wrestling world and the RAW roster via email. This new General Manager sends an email to the ring announcer Michael Cole, and he reads it out to the general audience.
