  2. Keep ya hands up, dont bak down. Dont kick the while there down(Thats the cowards way). Maybe two jabs with the left then follow through with the right, or vise versa. Hope i could help.

  3. Most people don't know how to fight right.

Go to a boxing gym and learn to fight and with that technique you will be able to beat 80% of all people in a street fight from that skill alone.

If you get grabbed though, keep a low center of gravity. Most of it is instinct, though.

  4. Well, I am not going to encourage you to street fight but I fully believe in protecting ones self when put in the right circumstances.

First of all, unless you have trained in grappling, wrestling, BJJ, Judo, ect, keep the fight off the ground. You are much more likely to get seriously injured on the ground.

Secondly, if you are truly protecting yourself, don't be afraid to go for the good ol' groin shot. All is fair in the game of war as they say and if it means protecting your life, a solid shot to the groin will put just about anyone out of commision.

As far as places to hit go, the throat is your best bet. Very sensitive and can easily be damaged. One of the most vulnerable spots on a human.

Besides punches don't forget about the other 6 striking points you have. Elbows are great in tight situations. Very powerful and effective plus they will not be as easily damaged as your hands. Knees can be good as well in these tight situations, especially in clinch situations. Avoid kicks in street fights unless you know what you are doing. They are more likely to get countered and put you on the ground where you will end up getting your face stomped in.

Pay close attention to your surroundings and look for objects that you can use to defend yourself. Remember, just about anything can be turned into a weapon.

When its all said and done though, nothing can replace proper training and if you are really serious about defending yourself you should look to enroll in some self defense classes. Don't go out on the streets looking for trouble for you could end up in jail or, even worse dead. Keep the fighting in the gym/ring where it belongs. Hope this helps. Stay safe!

  5. First of all I had a few tossles on the cobbles, so i can advise you,

First of all can I say if you havent fought please refrain from doing it, if you are good there will always be someone wanting to take you on, even when you had enough and settled down with kids in years to come it will come back to haunt you, people coming up will want to make a name for themselves at your expense.

When you are in a bareknuckle contest/fight the first thing you ask your opponent is "What way do you want it, a straightener or all in"

Straightner is bareknuckle punching only, no butting or kicking or anything, queensbury rules, All in is everything goes, this can be painful but on average only lasts 1.5 mins on average. If your fighting martial arts specialists have a straightner as they can be tactical on ground or kicks,

In a straightner fitness is the key, if your not fit you have two batles on your hands. first your fitness and second your opponent, so my advice to you as an ex-bareknuckler is

BE FIT, BE STRONG, BE FAST AND YOU'LL LAST

    Best of luck my friend

  6. Street fighting is very dangerous . The first thing you need to under stand is there are no rules in street fighting so expect the un expected. If you are sure that there is going to be a fight  make your first strike as hard as you can and make it to the head. Now if he goes down great the fight is over but if he is still standing do what you do best if you are good at wrestling do it if you are a better stand up do it but never wait on the other person to throw a punch be first. Fighting is always the last option  only when there is no way out of it be safe out there
