Hey guys, I live in a urban area so I see a lot of people on t he streets playing craps making money, well it just looks fun to me not for money purposes, so I saw a guide and your susposed to hit 7 or 11 to win your bet right? and 2,3, and 12 to lose your bet, and if you make a 1,4,5,6,8,9, or 10 you have to make that same number to win your bet right? but until you lose your bet then you pass your dice to next person but in casino's you do that I said but i see videos of people playing craps but shooting the dice more than 4 times without stopping (O.o)

here is an example

  1. Here is casino craps as best as I can explain it:

The first roll is called the "come out roll".  At this point you would bet on the "line".  Like you said, you will either win your "line bet" with a 7 or 11, you will lose the "line bet" with a 2, 3, or 12.  If you hit a 4,5,6,8,9, or 10 that is referred to as "the point".  Now the object is to hit "the point" before you throw a 7.  For instance if you roll an 8, now 8 is the point.  If you roll 8 again, no matter how many rolls it takes as long as you don't hit a 7, you will get paid your line bet.  If you hit the point, you start again from the beginning with another "come out" roll.  However if you roll a 7 while trying to hit your point you have "crapped out" and you have to pass the dice.

Also once a point is established you can bet on wide range of side bets.  Including other numbers, hard ways (which is rolling the same number on both dice), any craps, all sorts of stuff.

Also if you roll a "craps" (a 2,3 or 12) on the "come out" before you have established a "point" you lose your "line bet" but you don't have to pass the dice.  You can keep rolling.  "Crapping out" while trying to hit your "point" is the ONLY reason you will have to stop rolling and pass the dice.

Hope that helps.  If you really want to learn go to the casino late at night and walk up to a craps table and tell them you want to learn.  They are usually so bored they are happy to help you out.  This is how I learned the game.  Won a tidy sum, because these guys are good at making high percentage bets, and of course I tipped them nicely.
