  1. hard to say if it is above average or not because I don't know how long you've been training. Most untrained people have trouble just doing 20, so compared to an untrained person, you're doing very well. You've conditioned your muscles well for endurance, however your strength is probably lacking if you havn't been using weights. Any exercise in which you do more than 12-15 repititions is going to build only your endurance, not strength. For strength, use a weight that allows only 5-8 repititions.

  2. Horrible for strength training.

No room for advancement, and I am sick and tired of seeing you ask this c**p.

  3. Progressive exercise builds strength and muscle. You can only increase repetitions with pushups. Any gains are quite limited. Dips are better, and you can have weights on your back or lap when you do them. Punching involves largely muscles on chest, back and shoulders, and one puts his hips and legs into them. Coordination and balance are needed along with strength and power. You need a much more advanced routine to make any progress.

  4. Stop doing pushups and go get some weights... Or at least pick up the book "Naked Warrior" and do your body weight training correctly.

  5. its ok i do 40 regular pushups, 30 diamond, and 30 fist pushups. And that is just a very small part of my overall workout

  6. yeah i have seen this question a thousand times too...

just do the pushups and stop talking about it already, they dont merit a discussion...theyre pushups not rocket science...

  7. You have asked this question 30 times in other forums.  (It's in your Question list on your profile.)

I think you should go to a counselor for emotional support rather than a martial arts forum.
