  1. lots and lots of releves. Do them when you're brushing your teeth, etc. Walk around your house in releve. That is what pointe is all about. you'll need all the extra ankle strength you can get.

    good luck!

  2. relives are your new friends =^..^=

  3. Do lots and lots of relevés, especially on one leg. But also, do sit-ups! Work those core muscles. Work on being able to balance with your eyes closed (it's hard!) on both legs, one leg, etc. If you practice holding long balances on one leg and in difficult positions, you'll feel a LOT more stable en pointe. Just remember to pull up as much as you can. I'd also highly recommend buying a resistance band to help with ankle and foot strength. They are SUPER helpful in getting into pointe shape. They make you do the same movement that you would do to roll up onto pointe.

  4. I have written this a couple of times, but, put the balls of your feet onto the end of the stairs step thing, then do releves like that until you feel it in your calves. Repeat a couple times a day, I did it every time I was on the steps and no one was waiting for me to get off, every day.

    Hope I helped!
