Strep Throat / 3 yr old!?

Hi Mamas,

My little boy has strep :( We are starting antibiotics tonight (which I hate to do but I know this is one illness that really does require them) and I am worried my baby will catch it! I am so nervous - my little guy has been so sick the past 24 hours and I have my hands full trying to make him feel better and take care of the baby too. Have you guys ever had a baby catch strep? Is it very likely she'll catch it? Any experience you have had with this would be appreciated!

strep is very contagious so make sure you do a lot of hand washing.  Wash your hands, your 3 yr olds hands, and even the babies if you can, as much as possible.  One good thing, if your baby starts acting sick at least you will know what it is.  I hope your little one gets better and nobody else catches it.
