I just started highschool two days ago. I am in the a.p (advanced placement) program and its only been two days. I've already had two hours of homework, had to read 40 pages of the bible, and have some tests coming up. Plus were playing rugby in gym and i''m not that strong. plus i have to worry about getting initiated and pushed around by older grades. on top of this i feel like my whole world is changing. i knew that going in to highschool would bring more work and more responsibility but my friends are kinda changing. I'm not too stressed yet but i know it's coming. please give me some suggestions on how to relieve stress. eg. activities, games etc. Please help

  1. Welcome to the first phase of the real world. Unless HS has changed in 2 years: AP courses are stress relief because you actually get to learn without having to deal with the knuckleheads in the back that don't care about school, 40 pages is relative to the font (besides some of its content can help you with your stress if you really read it) and you probably chose rugby, so drop it and get into a non-contact sport or just run and pass a lot staying out of the scrums. And, if you are happily a nerd, geek or artist find a chess club, math/computer club, multicultural/language club, band, theater club, science club, debate club, school newspaper, yearbook club , or some other organization in which you can new friends that like your interests. No being shy, you just have to push your way through it. It gets better.
