Question:

Stress less on a scooter or in a car?

My friend claimed that he stresses less now that he's sold his car and is getting around via his Vespa scooter.

He says that because he doesn't have to bother with traffic jams like he used to every morning and night and because he has chopped his petrol bill to one eighth of what it was, he is now a more calm man.

Just wanting to know if anyone has an opinion on this.

Anyone with a similar experience?

  1. I've junked my truck and purchased 2008 Model DR650SE.

s******g around with a pooch scoot is for the innocents.

  2. Keep in mind that while his fuel costs have gone down .. he now has to contend with weather. I would love to get a scooter but my job requires me to carry a laptop and that is not possible if its raining outside. Plus my job also requires that I sometimes drive to remote locations. You wont catch me on a scooter on a backroad at 3am .

What I would say is to get a scooter but keep your car as a backup so that on bad weather days you use the car. Also I could not imagine taking a 2 or 3 hour trip on a scouter.

Good luck with what you decide.
