Ok. So I know stress can make your AF late, but can it also make you ovulate late?

I got positive OPKs the last two months on cd16, and now here it is cd16 for this month and no BFP on my OPK. I work at a university and with the Fall semester getting ready to start, work has been absolutely insane with tons of stress and pressure. Could that have caused me to ovulate late or not at all? What do you think?

  1. Yes, stress can make you ovulate late or not at all....if your body is under severe stress, your body recognizes it and will not ovulate.  If you ovulate late, your period will also be later than normal.  If you don't ovulate, you may even skip your period altogether for that month.

I have been under an enormous amount of stress before but it has only made me ovulate about 3 days later than normal...I've never skipped a period because of stress.

    Best of luck to you!

  2. Funny you ask.....   I ALWAYS have my period on a very strict 27 day schedule.  Never late, ovaulate on cycle day 15 blah, blah, blah.  This is month one of TTC and not only did I ovulate late, I also started late.  Very frustrating since I have been charting for months and this is the one that is not identical to the rest.  So I will BD every other day to be sure to not miss.

    Baby dust to you!  :)
