My stomach is in a knot, and I just dread getting up. I like school, its just.. this one Im at.. isnt me. Should I consider being homeschooled? Im only in high school by the way..

  1. I get nervous too and I'm 48 years old and going to college! It's normal to be nervous, especially when you are going to a new school. When you look over your test (ALWAYS a very good idea, so you can see what you need to work on) do you see any patterns? Were there any areas where you can see you need more help? Never be afraid to ask a teacher for help to. Making friends is hard! Are there any groups at school that you are interested in? What about yearbook, chess club, sports, or starting your own club? Good luck, it will get better but you do need to keep trying and not give up!

  2. Homeschooling is utterly fabulous.  Unschooling is the best way.  For starters, check out the Teenage Liberation Handbook.  It's about finding your way in life.  You still need to learn, but it can be things that are meaningful to you and your future.

Teen homeschool groups abound and are hungry for members.   It's pretty easy to make friends in them.

In school or out, the people who make friends most successfully are those who go up to others and initiate conversations, not those who hold back and wait for others to meet them.  You have nothing to lose by doing up to people that interest you, saying 'Hi, i'm so and so.  What's your name?"   And then finding out what you have in common, starting with being new, or failing tests, or being nervous, or liking certain bands, or having my space pages, etc.

    Good luck

Don't be stressed - it's a silly set-up, high school, and not being able to go with the flow there doesn't mean anything negative about you.

  3. Get used to is. Stress is part of life.

  4. I had panic attacks every morning before school freshman year. It will get better, it will get easier.

Just relax and be your wonderful self. And SMILE.

  5. It'll get better if you are your self and socialize with other people in class or at lunch and look happy don't look down.

  6. just give it a lil more time..and than see wat u think...

  7. just take it one day at a time. try talking to some new people to make friends. Its not how long you study its how you study. Did you try using flash cards they help a lot. Relax, don't think about the worse parts of your day think about something good. Make a goal for yourself, to at least meet 5 new people this month. you don't have to best friends with them but start getting to know your school. good luck

  8. Ah, I know how you feel. I went through something similar. I actually enjoyed high school for a while. I was there until the middle of my Junior year. I was having problems with the teachers/students there. They eventually stopped talking to me or I stopped talking to them because of the problems I had with them. Don't take that lightly...I'd rather not explain everything. Anyway, my grades were suffering due to everything that was going on.

Don't stress! I know it's easier said than done but you don't want to have health problems due to that. You don't want to live with horrible stomach aches. I should know!

Things are a whole lot better now that I got homeschooled. I don't have to deal with all that bull ****. It's great because if I have any DR. appointments or anything like that I can go with out freaking out about missing days at school. Plus my bf is homeschooled too. If we ever need help we just ask...Sorry to type so much. >.<   I'm sure you'll find a lot of people on here that are homeschooled. But hey...give school another shot. If you really don't like it, just talk to your parents about homeschooling. Hope everything works out!!! Good luck! ^-^
