  1. is the stress, imagine the children from the third world country who  does not even go to school and at a young age works for their food, and the one studying to a 4 mile distance school who only walks barefoot because ther is no transportation

  2. honey thats they way it is in middle school. They are trying to prepare you for highschool get a tutor they can help and dont worry  it will work out

  3. Are you asking this in the homeschool section because you are wanting to be homeschooled because your school is to hard?

If so, discuss it with your parents, but I seriously doubt "it's too hard" will get their attention.

Homeschooling can be more difficult in ways because you must have discipline to make yourself actually do the work. Some children do struggle with this.

If you are not considering homeschooling and you miscategorized your question, then let me say,

    wrong category. ;)

  4. If your classes are hard and you're in the lowest classes then you need to talk to your guidance counselor. You may want to stay after school for extra help.

  5. First of all, sit down and take a deep breath.  You won't be able to achieve anything if you are not calm.  Next, are all of these assignments due the next day or do you have a couple of days to finish them?  I have found that it is generally best to work on the projects that are due first.  I know this is kind of a duh thing but you would be surprised how many people do not do this.

Now, you have to set aside time to actually work on your assignments.  During your homework time, go to a quiet place where you won't be distracted by things such as your friends, tv, cell phone, etc.  The more distractions you have, the longer it will take you to get your work done.  If your friend calls you while you are trying to do your homework, tell him/her that you will call them back in a while.

Next, take things one at a time.  Do not try to bounce back and forth between assignments.  Pick one and work on it until you are finished, then pick another and repeat the process.  Never get into the habit of waiting to the last minute to work on your assignments because there will always be one assignment that takes you twice as long to complete than you initially thought.  Also, do not be afraid to ask for help if you do not understand something.  If you are truly lost on a particular subject, you will save yourself a lot of time and aggrevation if you ask for help.

Finally, once you are caught up with all of your homework assignments that are due immediately, try to get ahead.  If you know that your teacher will be covering chapter two tomorrow in class, go ahead and read that chapter tonight.  By doing this you will have a better understanding of the material when he/she goes over it the next day and, you will save yourself some time when you need to study for the test (this is especially useful when you have a test and a homework assignment due on the same day).

  6. This was the point where my son was  when we decided that we could do the job of educating him.  He was in the 8th grade and had terrible grammar, spelling, punctuation, and reading comprehension.  The 8th grade was going to be a repeat of the previous years.  Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.  We "stopped the insanity".  It took sacrifices but we saw improvement within 2 weeks of schooling at home.  Now it is 2 years later and we know we made the right choice.

This is personal experience but wanted you to know what worked for us.  We made several job changes to accommodate the home school challenges.
