Stretches to achieve Victoria's dance in CATS??

Does anyone have any ideas for stretches or whatever i can do that will eventually allow me to do the really cool trick in the musical CATS?? it's the one in victoria's solo when she is on pointe and stretches her leg all the way up to her head without holding on to it. I really want to be able to do that but have no idea where to even begin to acheive that. any help would be appreciated. thnx =D and here's the clip of the dance...it's near the end.

  1. work on your abs it creates a better support system...also everyday try n straddle for thirty seconds touch your toes. LEAPS help to they give your legs a sense of reach. Try n lift your leg on to a bar the kitchen deck something with height but not to high and stretch your legs out. If it hurts stop and try something less tall!!!
