Stretching my ears, need your help!?

I'm stretching my ears, and I'm at about a 6 or a 4. I put new plugs in yesterday and everything was fine. I just woke up and my left lobe is swollen and hurts really bad. What can I use to make it better? I have been using Salene Solution, anything else?

  1. How long were you at the 6 before you stretched up? If it was less than a month or two the best thing i can suggest is to take out these new plugs and downsize back to the 6 or lower. While a little swelling and soreness is normal the next day, what your describing sounds like you've torn the tissue a bit, which can lead to scarring and even a blow out.

Also, what material are these new plugs made of? Surgical grade stainless steal, titanium, and glass are pretty much the only materials you want to have in a freshly stretched ear. Acrylic is a big no-no.

saline is a good start for cleaning your ears, but now that you're getting into the slightly larger gauges you may want to start with oil massages. Emu oil works well and it's safe to use on not completely healed ears. This will also help break down any potential scar tissue you have so far.

I know downsizing probably isnt what you wanted to hear, but any time you have a lot of pain after stretching, it means your ears weren't ready for the stretch and it's best to start over.

    Good luck!
