  1. You should wait until it's fully healed before stretching it (unfortunately). Hate to say it but you should have just got it pierced at 14g. Breaking the healed skin before it's completely healed can lead to scar tissue.

  2. You really should have had it pierced at the size you want as none of them are very large.

Since it's done though, you'll need to wait a few months (6) before stretching one size. Septums can be very uncomfortable to stretch. Give it at least 2 months in between stretches and make sure you listen to your body.

  3. generally 2 weeks after you get it pierced you can switch it out or switch to the next size. after that a week to 2 weeks going up a size. I just went every other day and I was fine

  4. Think about it really carefully.  I stretched my ear to a 00.  Now I'm in my 40s and it really doesn't look so good.  I have reduced it to a 2 and select a stud that is reasonable for my age.  But septum.. think about it a lot and with a mature and forward thinking outlook before you make a big old hole.  That all said, a piercing needs to be mature before stretching begins.  That means all of the tissue is smooth edged and no longer exudes any of that flakey crunchy stuff.

  5. You shouldn't have gotten it pierced at 18g. But what's done is done. Wait until it is completely healed before attempting to stretch. And wait at least 2 months between stretches.
