The Ivory Coast international becomes the first striker in history to score in four cup finals for the Blues, with his latest goal securing a 2-1 final against the Reds at Wembley. The 34-year-old’s current contract with the club is set to expire in the
summer and it is believed that he will be saying goodbye to his club of eight years.

Drogba said in an interview:
“When I scored, I didn't think about that. I didn't even know about it. After the game, a journalist came on the pitch and told me about it.
I am happy with the result and knowing I made history was a big achievement.”
Drogba admitted he was extremely pleased with having made history and was proud of himself for the achievement. However, he was not too certain that he would maintain the record for long, since he suspected someone else could equal or better his record in
the near future.

certain about his future.
Drogba revealed:
“I've been asked this question maybe four times, maybe more with the semi-finals played here. It's difficult to answer.
I'm a striker and when I score goals, I am very happy. I am lucky to play in this kind of stadium and to score goals here.”
The Blues are expected to offer Drogba a contract extension for a year but the striker is reportedly looking for at least a two year contract, after which he will most likely end his career.
