transfer window. Not that Kalou had a first team spot before Torres’ arrival; he had to compete with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicolas-Anelka-c27786.
However, Torres’ £50-million arrival has guaranteed Kalou a spot on the bench, with the 25-year-old’s 13 appearances out of a total of 24 coming as a substitute. He is understandably frustrated at the lack of first team football, having been with the club
since 2006. This season he has managed to score 14 goals from 31 appearances in all competitions.
Kalou revealed he was considering his future, he said while speaking to reporters, “I think I can talk to the club and see what my position is because it's frustrating to not get involved knowing that you're playing better than others. I did speak to Carlo
Ancelotti about it. He is an understanding man. He knows what I feel as a player because he played before.”
Kalou arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2006 for an estimated fee of £9,000,000 during the Jose Mourinho era. The Portuguese manager was well on his way to developing the young Ivorian into a world class striker, unfortunately his untimely and unexpected departure
put an end to that. Avram Grant and Luiz Felipe Scolari did not make much use of Kalou and he remained in the shadows.
It was under Carlo Ancelotti that Kalou flourished once again and was given an opportunity to prove himself as a reliable striker. However, this season has not been too eventful for Chelsea or Kalou; the Blues are struggling for silverware, while Kalou is
struggling for playtime. If he is not guaranteed more play time it seems likely that the Ivorian will be making a Stamford Bridge exit soon.
Willian reveals Chelsea dream
Brazilian winger Willian revealed he was pleased to hear that English Premier League giants Chelsea were interested in acquiring his services. The 22-year-old Shakhtar Donetsk player went on to say that he would like to make a move to Chelsea in the near
future.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Willian-c36898 said while speaking to reporters, “(Chelsea's interest) makes me happy, but there is nothing concrete as yet. There is no offer. It makes me happy, though, because it means my efforts are receiving recognition. There are some Brazilians there and
they have great players. Chelsea are a big club in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.”
Willian arrived at the Ukrainian outfit for a fee of $19 million in 2007 from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Corinthians-c38855 and has managed to score 13 goals from 83 appearances. He is an extremely talented winger, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, and would fit right in with
the current Chelsea squad.
